Established on July 6th 2001 the Tibet Center - New Mexico (TCNM) will endeavor to preserve and promote the unique cultural heritage of Tibet that so vitally enriches the world and its global culture.
TCNM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exampt organization, incorporated in New Mexico.
TCNM will focus on the special concerns for the Tibetan people and its spectacular Highland Plateau, surrounded by the majestic Himalayas. Tibet is the source of many great rivers in Asia, which sustains approximately 40% of humanity.
Tibet has traditionally served as the keeper of the Buddhist civilization, encompassing its wisdom, compassion, peace and harmony as well as its special art of treedom. All of this is on the verge of extinction. TCNM will work to restore these ideals with programs and services offered at the center.
We hope to inspire you to work with TCNM and the worldwide network of the many Tibetan institutions to help promote the ideals that make Tibet and its culture so unique.
